Bairnsleigh is a close knit community-based pre-primary school offering education and aftercare for children aged 3 to 5 yrs old.

The Bambis Class

The Bambi’s class is our young class catering for children aged three and turning four during the year. Laura Smit is the head teacher and has been looking after the little people coming through this class for more than 20 years.

The Busy Bees Class

Age Group: 4 turning 5 years old
Class Size: 26 Children
Teacher: Margie Froud
Assistants: Tessa Simonsz & Claudine Kagaba
Hours: 08h00 – 12h30

The Busy Bees class is our older class catering for children aged four and turning five during the year. Margie Froud is the teacher, she joined the school in 2017 and has a long teaching career spanning more than 30 years.

Aftercare

Aftercare is available from 12h45 – 14h15 each school day and carries an additional cost of R20 per hour. It is run by the teachers who continue with the support, play and learning development of your child whilst there.

Extra Murals

An assortment of extra mural activities are available with something to suit each child’s interests and personality. Information will be provided to you about all of the activities on offer at the beginning of each year.

Applications / Fees

The basic school fee for 2025 is R9,900 per term (R39,600 per annum) with the option to pay R3960 over 10 months. This amount includes outings, security, insurances and fees. Hearing and visual screenings are done in the first term and are charged separately.
